The session “highlighted the challenges that exist in the clinical entity of developmental and epileptic encephalopathy with spike-wave activation in sleep,” Stowe said.

“There’s still a lot of clinical ambiguity and not necessarily a path forward,” he said, adding that there are a lot of opportunities to improve in that realm.
