Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Case Review

Bharati Kochar, MD, MS, an IBD specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, spoke about additional treatment options for the case.

Kochar discussed multiple treatment options for acute severe UC, including IV corticosteroids, infliximab, cyclosporine, tofacitinib and colectomy.

She explained the reasoning behind each treatment and why other surgical and therapeutic options were not chosen for this patient.
