PHILADELPHIA — Paul Kwo, MD, professor of medicine at Stanford University, speaks with Healio about presentations investigating the undertreatment of hepatitis B.

The data was presented at the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting.

According to Kwo, the oral presentation highlighted discrepancies in treatment for hepatitis B and the lack of clarity in which guidelines physicians follow when implementing treatment.

“This presentation showed that as you simplify the strategies for hepatitis B, this hopefully will allow us to identify more people who are eligible for treatment,” he said.
