In this video, Jeffrey A. Sparks, MD, MMSc, associate physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital, explained the findings from his study that investigated the relationship between rheumatoid arthritis and pulmonary function.

The data, presented at ACR 2020 by Lauren Prisco, from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, suggested restrictive and obstructive lung disease may be a pulmonary manifestation of RA.

“There’s probably a spectrum of lung disease within rheumatoid arthritis,” Sparks, who is also an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, said.
