Low Testosterone Video Perspectives

In a video interview with Healio, Tolulope Bakare, MD, clinical assistant professor in the department of urology and obstetrics and gynecology, director of diversity, equity and inclusion and director of male reproductive health at UT Southwestern Medical Center, discussed:

• diagnosing low testosterone and the process of determining bioavailable testosterone levels;
• the importance of establishing “fertility status” or “intent for future fertility” when creating a treatment plan;
• taking a patient-centered approach when considering whether to initiate testosterone replacement therapy;
