An expert in influenza is encouraging the public to get vaccinated ahead of “a tough season” during National Influenza Vaccination Week.
In this video filmed at the Infectious Diseases in Children Symposium, Yvonne A. Maldonado, MD, a professor of global health and infectious diseases and chief of pediatric infectious diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine, discusses why everyone aged 6 months and older should receive their influenza vaccine.
“I urge everybody to get vaccinated for the flu,” Maldonado said. “We know this is going to be a tough season.”
