NEW YORK — Google has a host of products optometrists can use to grow their practices, including business tools, ads, analytics and YouTube, business consultant Trudi Charest told Healio at Vision Expo East.
Google Business Profile is underused in the eye care industry, Charest, co-founder of Marketing4ECPs and Total Focus Consulting, said. “It’s where Google reviews are housed as well as basic information about your practice,” she said. “You can almost treat it like a social media channel and go in post events and pictures.”
Google Ads and display ads can be used for patient acquisition or to grow different parts of the practice.
YouTube, which is owned by Google, is the second largest search engine after Google, Charest said.
“People are using it not just to find brands and services, but almost everything,” she said. “YouTube has a billion users every single day.”
