ORLANDO — In this Healio Video Perspective from Vision Expo East, Eric E. Schmidt, OD, founder and practitioner at Omni Eye Specialists in Wilmington, N.C., provides “keys to success” for partnering with private equity.

For example, he encouraged optometrists to look beyond the financial lens and reflect on how this change will affect employees, specifically regarding their reporting structure, schedule and benefits.

“I kind of gave a peek behind the curtain of what private equity is really like and points on how to really make it work for you,” he said.
