Heather Biele

Biele is a medical copy editor and supports Healio’s gastroenterology/hepatology, optometry and psychiatry teams. She earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science in 1996 and her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1999, both from Kansas State University.

Before joining Healio in 2022, Biele was an assistant editor for the CASE award-winning Kansas Alumni magazine at the University of Kansas. She previously worked as a senior content specialist in the veterinary group at Advanstar Communications.

A Midwest native, Biele works remotely in Lawrence, Kansas, and enjoys running, travel, doting on her furry rescues and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks and the St. Louis Cardinals.
