MILAN — In this video, Paolo Nucci, MD, keynote lecturer at the World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus subspecialty day held during the ESCRS meeting, addresses three key issues related to congenital cataract surgery.

The first issue involves the timing of surgery, which is still a controversial topic. The second is the need for less stringent regulations to make research easier in this age group. The third involves a surgical tip to minimize Soemmering’s ring formation.
