Christine Klimanskis, ELS
Klimanskis is a medical journalist and editor. She received her BA in English, with a concentration in journalism/professional writing, from The College of New Jersey. She earned certification as an editor in the life sciences by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences in 2006.
She began her career as a copy editor for a daily newspaper before transitioning to medical publishing. She is the Copy Chief for Healio, leading a talented group of copy editors as part of the quality assurance team. She has been the copy editor for the ophthalmology news group since joining Healio, formerly known as SLACK Incorporated, in 2003.
Her team’s publications, Healio/OSN and Ocular Surgery News, have received numerous APEX and other medical journalism awards over the years.
Klimanskis enjoys watching the Phillies and spending time with her husband and son.
