VIDEO: Eyhance IOL offers improved intermediate vision, functional near vision

BARCELONA, Spain — In this Healio Video Perspective from the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting, Rosa Giglio, MD, shares study results investigating the Tecnis Eyhance IOL from Johnson & Johnson Vision.
The study confirmed that the lens provides good intermediate vision as well as some functional near vision.
One of the strengths of the analysis was the use of strict criteria to minimize biases, but “the IOL is intended to be a monofocal plus IOL, so when you decide to use the IOL, very strict criteria of selection are no longer necessary,” Giglio said.
