VIDEO: ‘See EoE’ raises awareness of disease diagnosis
In this video exclusive, Mena Boules, MD, medical director of Takeda Pharmaceuticals, discussed the program See EoE, which was designed to raise awareness of eosinophilic esophagitis among physicians.
Takeda recently launched the program to educate health care providers about signs of EoE, importance of evaluating symptoms, histopathology and endoscopic findings for diagnosis.
“When you go to the See EoE website, one of the unique attributes is that its relatively easy to navigate,” Boules said. “Going through it, you have basic information on the disease. You have some information on how to manage the disease. We have resources on that, that were developed such as an update from the AGA Joint Task Force 2020 guidelines and you can download a pocket guideline from there to be used as resource...”
Boules said See EoE is a tool for clinicians to raise awareness of EoE diagnosis and offers management tools.
