VIDEO: Probiotic drops glucose by 30% in type 2 diabetes

In this exclusive video, Colleen Cutcliffe, PhD, CEO and co-founder of Pendulum Therapeutics, discussed two strains of probiotics that the company is currently looking at. Patients with type 2 diabetes are missing strains to enable metabolizing fiber and albuterate and to regulate the mucin layer. Cutcliffe said Pendulum has developed a probiotic, which in a randomized placebo-controlled trial showed efficacy is patients with type 2 diabetes and dropped glucose by 30%.
