In this exclusive video, Gregory S. Sayuk, MD, MPH, of the division of gastroenterology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, discusses how providers and patients have adapted to changes implemented in gastroenterology practices in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He told Healio Gastroenterology and Liver Disease this experience has shown that telehealth has a future in medical practice, but patients, particularly ones with conditions like functional diarrhea or irritable bowel syndrome benefit from face-to-face interactions with their doctors.
