Live coverage from ACG 2014 Annual Scientific Meeting in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Beginning Monday, Oct. 20, Healio Gastroenterology and Healio.com/Gastroenterology will offer live coverage from the American College of Gastroenterology’s 2014 Annual Scientific Meeting at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, including coverage of expert panels, exhibits, symposia and special presentation sessions along with video interviews with leading experts.

The 3-day conference features a well-rounded curriculum produced by an esteemed planning committee, led by ACG President Harry E. Sarles, Jr., MD, FACG. The Scientific Meeting follows the 2-day Postgraduate Course, and includes presentations from established experts and rising stars in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology, including featured lecturers Charles N. Bernstein, MD, FACG, and Richard A. Kozarek, MD, FACG.

Healio Gastroenterology Peer Perspective Board member, Douglas G. Adler, MD, FACG, AGAF, FASGE, will lead hands-on workshops while Board member Francis A. Farraye, Md, MSc, will moderate a plenary session in IBD.

Topics of discussion at the scientific sessions include new and emerging treatments for IBD, C. difficile and HCV; technological innovation and training in the changing field of endoscopy; developments in therapies for functional bowel disorders like IBS, colorectal cancer, drug-induced liver injury and much more.
