Healio has launched a new point-of-care tool with modules on medical conditions to help clinicians treat patients using reliable information.

Clinical Guidance is Healio’s third channel. It joins the company’s established channels: News and CME.

“The launch of Clinical Guidance reinforces Healio’s position as the leading destination for health care providers to consume information,” Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, chief content officer at Healio, said in a press release. “We are excited to provide our users with a go-to destination at the point of care, so they can make clinical decisions in a quick and efficient way.”

Five modules are currently available: psoriatic arthritis, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, type 2 diabetes and obesity. Each module offers a clinical overview alongside treatment and diagnosis information. The modules were created by physician authors and contributors.

Healio plans to release additional modules in the coming months, including ones on genomics, immuno-oncology and lipid management.

This tool is freely available for the health care community to access.

“It’s been an incredible journey to build Clinical Guidance from the ground up,” Andrea Gaymon, M.Ed., UXC, chief experience officer at Healio, said in the press release. “We utilized real-user data to design and enhance the site. Providers who participated in our usability studies described Clinical Guidance as user-friendly, detailed and informative.”
