SAN DIEGO — In this video, Kristyn Brandi, MD, MPH, FACOG, discusses the impact that the upcoming Supreme Court decision regarding a Mississippi abortion law may have on patients and providers.

Brandi, who is an assistant professor of OB/GYN and reproductive health at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and a chair of the board of directors for Physicians for Reproductive Health, and colleagues lectured on this topic at the ACOG Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting.

If Roe v. Wade is overturned, “health care really is going to be dictated based on people’s zip codes,” Brandi said.

“There will be some states that won’t have restrictions that will be inundated with patients, not only their own patients but patients coming from out of state, so there is a concern that, regardless of where you live, this ruling will impact everybody — all OB/GYNs,” she added.
