VIDEO: President-elect discusses ACP objectives in coming year
CHICAGO — In this video, Ryan D. Mire, MD, FACP, president-elect of the ACP and an internist at Heritage Medical Associates in Nashville, Tennessee, describes key objectives that he will pursue in the coming year.
Mire also touches on how the ACP is supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for its governance, staff and members.
“We recognize that our approach to not only establish but also sustain a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture within ACP and the foundation and practice of internal medicine requires intent, collaboration and investment,” Mire said during a presentation about diversity within the ACP at the college’s Internal Medicine Meeting.
Mire will be sworn in as president of the ACP upon the conclusion of meeting.
