A recent analysis showed the global burden of hip osteoarthritis rose between 1990 and 2019, with incidence and disability-adjusted life years increasing in most countries. A report on the data was the top story in rheumatology last week.

Another top story was about the risk for SARS-CoV-2 breakthrough infections, which appeared to be higher among people with immune dysfunction, particularly those with rheumatoid arthritis, HIV and solid organ transplant, according to researchers.
