VIDEO: Success of practices depends on leadership, payment, workflow

In this video, Andy Swanson, MPA, CMPE, vice president of Industry Insights at the Medical Group Management Association, discusses highlights from the Medical Practice Excellence Leaders Conference.

The meeting covered three themes: leadership, payment — particularly reimbursement for value-based care — and effective workflow.

“Our businesses were disrupted by things like telehealth, staff working from home and other things, so a microscope has really been placed on operational effectiveness and making sure our workflows are tight and efficient so that we can see as many patients as we possibly can,” Swanson said.

He added that similar content will be presented during the upcoming Medical Practice Excellence: Leaders Conference DX, which takes place on Nov. 16 to 18.
