VIDEO: EN21X presentations highlight knowledge, impact
Lisa A. Wolf, PhD, RN, CEN, FAEN, FAAN, speaks with Healio about four studies presented at the Emergency Nurses Association annual conference which have “implications for knowledge and practice and education and impact.”
In this video, Wolf, director of the Institute for Emergency Nursing Research at the Emergency Nurses Association, described the impact of cannabis legalization and decriminalization on emergency nursing.
She also discussed the impact of forensic nursing, which pertains to individuals who present to the emergency room due to violence.
“If you don’t know enough about how to care for these patients, that delays your care, it negatively impacts patient outcomes, it hinders the relational aspect of nursing,” she said.
