ACAAI Scientific Meeting to highlight clinical updates

HOUSTON — Healio Primary Care will offer live coverage of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Annual Scientific Meeting, which runs Nov. 7 to Nov. 11.
The meeting, titled “New frontiers: Advocating for patients, practices and research,” will include a presidential plenary moderated by ACAAI president Todd A. Mahr, MD, FACAAI, to discuss new guidelines, approaches to care and conditions like meat allergy linked to Lone Star tick bites.
There will also be symposia focused on immunotherapy and biologics for asthma, the complexity of managing tree nut allergies, and the importance of physician health and wellness.
Additional presentations will include new findings about penicillin allergy, oral food challenges, and information about how pediatric allergies are related to prenatal diet, delivery method and infant feeding practices.
