Ansell’s third-annual H.E.R.O. award search underway
Ansell has kicked off the search for recipients of their third-annual Ansell Cares H.E.R.O. Nurse Service Award, according to a recent press release from the company.
“The Ansell Cares H.E.R.O. Nurse Service Award was established as a way to demonstrate our appreciation and admiration for nurses: their professionalism, dedication and compassions,” Anthony López, president and general manager, Medical Global Business Unit at Ansell, said in a press release.
The company also announced that the award will be going international this year, with expansion into Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
The H.E.R.O. award — which recognizes nurses who make significant differences in the lives of their patients, peers and communities — will accept nominations from March 8, 2015 through April 9, 2015. At that time, U.S. residents are encouraged to nominate a nurse who they feel has made a difference. Starting April 10, 2015, voting will begin to narrow down the nominees, and will run through May 12, 2015.
A total of 10 nominees — those who receive the most votes — will be named the winners of the Ansell Cares H.E.R.O. Nurse Service Award, along with receiving a plaque, a nursing book and having their story shared online. The nominee with the most votes will also have a donation made in their name to a charity of their choosing.
Nominations can be made online at www.ansellhero.com.
