VIDEO: Focus on column classification to manage tibial plateau fractures
KOLOA, Hawaii — In this video from Orthopedics Today Hawaii, J. Tracy Watson, MD, spoke about assessing medial, lateral and posterior column classification to manage tibial plateau fractures.
“Don’t be so worried about the Schatzker classification, because it’s like comparing black-and-white TV to [high-definition] TV,” he said. “CT scan planning is more accurate, and it facilitates your surgical intervention more accurately than plain X-rays,” Watson added.
