Gina Brockenbrough, MA
Brockenbrough is a medical journalist and editor with more than 15 years of experience in publishing. She received an MA in counseling, a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a bachelor’s degree in communications with a specialization in TV and radio production, all from The College of New Jersey.
During her career, she has served as a staff writer, copy editor, contributing editor, online content editor and managing editor. She has covered breaking FDA news and government policy changes related to the medical industry. Her articles and photojournalism work have appeared in publications for several medical specialties, including orthopedics, nephrology, rheumatology, cardiology, orthotics and prosthetics, ophthalmology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease and pediatrics.
Brockenbrough’s high-caliber journalism has been recognized by several professional societies. She received the APEX Award of Excellence for News Writing in 2012 and the APEX Award of Excellence for News Series Writing in 2009. In addition, she has been recognized with a NJ Press Association Honorable Mention and won the NJ Association of Communication’s Best Undergraduate Research Paper.
In her free time, Gina creates commissioned artwork. She is an avid runner and has competed in several half-marathons.
