ATLANTA — In this video from the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Annual Meeting, Anthony A. Romeo, MD, speaks on hot topics from this year’s meeting and recaps his case symposium on soft tissue and sports injuries of the elbow.

“You know if you throw 94 mph and you have surgery and you can throw 88 mph, that’s awesome for the general population. But you know what, you can’t compete at that level,” Romeo said. “We really need to look at — not what we think is a good result, but what the patient needs to get a good result.

“Overall, it has been a very exciting meeting,” he added. “We are about networking; we are about sharing similar ideas; and we are about learning from each other. And I think this meeting has done all of that in a great way. We are very excited for next year’s meeting, which will be in Scottsdale, Arizona.”
