Kristen Dowd

Kristen Dowd is a medical copy editor. She received her BA in print communications and graphic design from Arcadia University.

After nearly two decades working in community news, Dowd pivoted to medical publishing in 2021. She currently serves as the copy editor for Healio Allergy/Asthma, Healio Dermatology and Healio Pulmonology.

Dowd’s writing and photography have earned New Jersey Press Association awards in feature, opinion and environmental categories, and her front page designs garnered awards through the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists.

Dowd enjoys reading, crafting and listening to Christmas music year round.
