INDIANAPOLIS — Total30 for astigmatism contact lenses may be a viable option for patients who frequently use digital devices, according to a study presented at Academy 2024.

“The purpose of our study was to put people into Total30 for astigmatism, a relatively new contact lens, and see how well they do while using digital devices throughout the day,” Andrew Pucker, OD, PhD, FAAO, executive director of clinical and medical science at Lexitas Pharma Services, said in this Healio video.

In a 1-month, three-visit study of 48 adults, Pucker and colleagues found that 81.3% of participants were satisfied with the overall performance of the contact lens, with about 87% reporting satisfaction with their levels of eye tiredness and eye strain while wearing the lenses.
