SAN DIEGO — Johnson & Johnson Vision highlighted the launch of Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day at Academy 2022.

Kurt Moody, OD, director of professional education at J&J Vision, told Healio that the new lens, which is available in sphere and multifocal, contains a chromophore that filters blue and violet light at 60%.

“The benefit of this to our patients is that it substantially reduces intraocular light scatter,” he said. “That means it reduces starburst, glare and halos.

“And I can tell you that across the country, doctors are telling us that patients are ‘wowed’ at the clarity of vision,” he added.
