Patients who underwent cataract surgery combined with the Glaukos iStent inject had significantly improved vision-related quality of life, including ocular pain relief, compared with those who underwent cataract surgery alone.
In this video, Justin Schweitzer, OD, FAAO, speaks at the American Academy of Optometry virtual meeting about the trial results, in which the iStent inject group showed meaningful improvement at 24 months based on the Visual Function Questionnaire 25, compared with the cataract surgery group.
