In this video, Jonathan Wadsley, MA, MRCP, FRCR, a consultant clinical oncologist at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield, U.K., discussed important presentations on thyroid cancer given at the American Thyroid Association Annual Meeting.

He said the most thought-provoking presentation on thyroid cancer given at the meeting was titled "Precision thyroid care: Avoiding over- and under treatment of thyroid cancer" by R. Michael Tuttle, MD, chief of endocrinology service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

"It was a very inspiring talk, encouraging us to move away from what another speaker at the conference described as a 'cookie-cutter approach,'" Wadsley said.

Wadsley also touched on new ATA guidelines and exciting novel therapies.
