Mindy Valcarcel, MS
Valcarcel is a medical journalist and editor. She received her bachelor’s degree in English and in communications from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, and her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas.
Valcarcel — who has been in medical publishing since 1997 — is a Healio copy editor, specializing in hematology/oncology. Her team’s work has been recognized multiple times in the APEX Awards for Publication Excellence and American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors competitions.
