VIDEO: Patient care, trial enrollment in lung cancer impact by COVID-19
In this video, Hossein Borghaei, DO, MS, discussed the impact of the pandemic on the care of patients with lung cancer, noting that at this year’s International Lung Cancer Congress, most conversations about COVID-19 took place off the podium.
“I don’t think there is any doubt that COVID has significantly impacted clinical trial enrollment, which is a huge thing for all of us," Borghaei, chief of thoracic medical oncology, professor of hematology/oncology, co-director of the Immune Monitoring Facility and the Gloria and Edmund M. Dunn Chair in Thoracic Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, told Healio.
