Karen M. Winkfield, MD, PhD, spoke with Healio about a lecture on precision medicine she gave at this year’s Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium.
“We need to be meeting the patient where they are,” said Winkfield, executive director of the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance, Ingram Professor of cancer research and professor of radiation oncology at Vanderbilt University. “Can we actually be precise in the way that we are delivering medicine in a holistic way?”
