Hossein Borghaei, DO, MS, spoke with Healio about his important takeaways from the International Lung Cancer Congress.
“I always come away from the meeting picking up a few things here and there that I must incorporate into my own clinical practice,” Borghaei, chief of thoracic medical oncology, professor of hematology/oncology, co-director of the Immune Monitoring Facility and the Gloria and Edmund M. Dunn Chair in Thoracic Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, said.
As an example, he discussed how a few years ago experts at ILCC were stressing the importance of adding liquid biopsy to practice and now many studies have been published supporting benefits of liquid biopsy.
