VIDEO: Virtual conferences are ‘next best thing’
Passing the year mark of the COVID-19 pandemic, clinicians, researchers and other health care providers have been attending virtual conferences for almost has long.
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network recently held their annual meeting virtually, and according to Wallace Akerley, MD, chairman of the Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee and director of the Lung Cancer Disease Center of Excellence at Huntsman Cancer Institute, “virtual conferences are kind of the next best thing” compared with the “old style of meeting”.
