VIDEO: New technologies in hair restoration

In this Healio exclusive video, Ronda S. Farah, MD, FAAD, discusses a session she presented at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting on new technologies for hair restoration.

Farah, an associate professor in the department of dermatology at University of Minnesota, discussed new procedures, including one that is ultrasound-based.

Farah also spoke about a new option that is not currently available on the market, which is a nonablative laser that will not rely on a topical.

“So that is something new that will be coming into the hair loss world that we talked a little bit about. We’ll be getting our hands on that this year,” Farah said.
