Kathryn Dao, MD, spoke with Healio about an ACR Convergence 2021 presentation that reported that “rheumatoid arthritis patients who were cared for through telehealth actually did no worse compared to face-to-face visits.”
“The caveat is that these patients also had a higher degree of education, they had jobs that allowed them to have access to video,” said Dao, associate professor in the department of internal medicine’s division of rheumatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
