WASHINGTON — Jason L. Dragoo, MD, FAAOS, spoke about the next generation of orthobiologics at the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons Next Generation of Biologics Symposium, here.

The symposium was presented in collaboration with the Biologic Association.

“The amount of technology that we saw that is coming around the corner for all of us in orthobiologics is exceptional,” Dragoo said.

He said a few of the new chapters that came out from the symposium were the concept of dosing orthobiologics, a new cell discovery from Stanford University and new ways with which to use adipose-derived cells to improve conditions, such as arthritis.

“The future is incredible in orthobiologics,” Dragoo said.
