BOSTON — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ASCRS meeting, Brett H. Mueller II, DO, PhD, ABO, discusses how adopting the EVO ICL into his practice has benefited him and his patients.
The EVO ICL (STAAR Surgical) offers patients an alternative to the permanence of LASIK and differentiates Mueller’s practice from other practices, he said.
“When I’m looking at my patients and doing a refractive evaluation, I’m not only thinking laser vision correction in terms of LASIK, SMILE or PRK, but I’m also thinking lens-based surgery,” Mueller said. “I’m thinking about EVO ICL and how I can utilize that to correct all the way from –3 D to –20 D and correcting up to 4 D or 5 D of astigmatism.”
