Some recent advancement for the treatment of dry eye, there's been a lot over the last few years. It's really progressed with the expansion of dry eye as a multifactorial disease. Over the counter, artificial tear improvements have been made by a number of companies. We have intense pulse light, we have thermal pulsation and we have thermal heat. All of those add to the arsenal of treatments that are available to address just meibomian gland dysfunction. We use autologous tear syndrome, amniotic membranes and placement of placental extract drops, also available to help treat the corneal disease that comes from the dry eye and with it being multifactorial, we know that an increase of computer use and mask wearing over the last few years, they've further compounded this problem of dry eye within a population. But as technology continues to improve, it's important for both practitioners and patients to understand that you need to ask for the latest and greatest therapies that are available. You need to offer those therapies to the patients always to combat the dry eye disease and ease patient's discomfort.
