In this video from the virtual Euretina congress, Gemmy Cheung, MD, speaks about the new criteria for the diagnosis and management of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, or PCV.

These criteria, developed and validated by the Asia-Pacific Ocular Imaging Society PCV Workgroup, overcome the need for invasive methods, such as indocyanine green angiography, and are based on OCT and fundus photography. Cheung explained how they can be used to diagnose PCV at baseline, guide treatment decisions in eyes with persistent fluid and evaluate polypoidal lesion perfusion after anti-VEGF treatment.
