BOSTON — An evaluation of children with early-onset MS showed their cognitive performance was similar to healthy peers, Kimberly A. O’Neill, MD, said in this Healio video at the American Academy of Neurology annual meeting.

The 2-year follow-up also showed similar findings in adults with MS, O’Neill, a pediatric neuroimmunology fellow at NYU Langone Health, said.

“A lot of our patients and our families, and of course their physicians, are always wondering how pediatric MS affects cognition, and we were very excited to show them that early in the disease course these children are doing very well,” O’Neill said.
