CHICAGO — Divyanshu Dubey, MBBS, discusses the use of antibody evaluations in the workup for neuropathies during a presentation at the 2022 American Neurological Association’s annual meeting.
“Not all antibodies are created equal,” Dubey, associate professor of neurology and laboratory medicine and pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, said. “There are some which are more useful compared to the others. These antibodies not only help us diagnose potentially immune-mediated conditions, which can be treated [or] reversed, they also sometimes guide us in terms of the underlying trigger, which in some of these cases could be cancer.”
