DENVER – Individuals who had migraine with aura were more likely to have atrial fibrillation compared with those who had a migraine without aura, a presenter said at the American Headache Society annual meeting.

“The difference remains significant, after we adjusted for age, sex and six vascular risk factors, especially in those younger than 55 years [of age], in both women and in men,” Chia-Chun Chiang, MD, assistant professor of neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, said.
