SEATTLE — April is National Minority Health Month. In this video from the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America Spring Conference, Jasmine R. Marcelin, MD, discusses the concept of “pharmaco-equity.”
Pharmaco-equity is “the idea that everybody will have equitable access to the medications that they need at the time that they need it, at all times,” said Marcelin, an infectious disease physician and associate professor of infectious disease at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
