Gerard Gallagher

Gallagher is an award-winning science journalist and executive editor of the infectious diseases and pediatrics content teams at Healio. Before that, he was a senior staff writer covering infectious diseases.

Gallagher has been a journalist for more than 20 years. In a previous life as a sports writer and editor, he covered five Olympics. He received a BA in English from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he still lives. He collects records and complements on his gumbo.
