In this Healio video exclusive, Leonard Calabrese, DO, chief medical editor of Healio Rheumatology, shouts out key stories in the September issue, including an in-depth feature about what young rheumatologists expect from the field.

“I was really heartened to see this dialogue, talking not about burnout, but talking about the search for joy in practice,” Calabrese said.

The story features perspectives from Brian Jaros, MD, Matthew Lempel, MD, Jennifer Elise Abdalla, MD, Alexandre Matar, MD, and Desh Nepal, MD.

The issue also includes an important and timely piece about the Supreme Court “meddling in medicine,” according to Calabrese.

“Moving into the election year, I think everyone should be reading this,” he said.

The final article Calabrese highlighted is an interview with David D’Cruz, MD, FRCP, and Melanie Sloan, PhD, about how nightmares and hallucinations among patients with lupus may portend a flare of disease. “Check it out,” he said.

“Please pick it up online or in paper,” Calabrese said. “I’d love to hear your thoughts.”
