Healio announced the launch of Rheum and Boards, a quiz-based, online learning resource for rheumatologists, according to a Healio press release.

The quiz-based platform provides user-friendly navigation to help specialists easily find relevant topic quizzes and allows users to individualize their study needs through a customizable quiz building tool. The resource combines features such as performance and progress tracking with a clean design to help specialists study in ways most effective to them.

Healio is proud to introduce Rheum and Boards, a new online learning resource for rheumatologists. Whether you are studying for the boards or just want to stay sharp, this quiz-based resource has the tools you need to test your rheumatology IQ.

Rheum + Boards was created based on an identified need in the market that drove the product design, which we validated with our users through usability testing to create the best experience for learning,” Andrea Gaymon, M.Ed., UXC, Healio’s Chief Experience Officer, said in the release.

The product is a result of research and feedback from key figures in rheumatology, including Rheum + Boards editor Adam J. Brown, MD.

According to Brown, who is also host of the podcast Healio Rheuminations and associate program director of rheumatology at Cleveland Clinic, question banks offer an enjoyable and engaging mode of learning that textbooks can’t deliver.

“Rheumatology is a fascinating and complex field, but it’s a relatively small specialty, making educational resources sometimes scarce,” he told Healio. “I found this particularly apparent as a fellow looking for question banks to use as study tools. Rheum + Boards is meant to fill that educational void in the hearts of so many rheumatology learners by offering engaging quizzes that can be customized based on the learning mood of the individual.”

“Question banks can be stuffy and sterile,” Brown added. “I wanted the answers on Rheum + Boards to be fun and engaging, making it enjoyable to get a question wrong.”

Rheum + Boards uses custom solutions and innovative advertising to allow health care marketers to connect with their target audience through deeper engagement among rheumatology professionals.

“The ability to create custom quizzes and track your progress brings rheumatology learning to the next level,” Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, Healio’s Chief Content Officer, said in the release. “Whether a physician is studying for the boards or just wants to stay sharp, Rheum + Boards is a powerful tool for rheumatologists to develop their skill and broaden their knowledge.”
